LedgerLine (the "Service") is operated by LedgerLine Software LLC("LedgerLine," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
The Service supports three account types: Builder/Owner accounts (used by home builders, renovators, and real estate developers), which create and administer projects; General Contractor accounts and Subcontractor accounts, which are invited by a Builder to a specific project. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Plans. Paid subscription plans (currently Starter and Growth) apply to Builder/Owner accounts. General Contractor and Subcontractor guests are free. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store your full card details.
Free trial. New paid accounts include a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial and may cancel before it ends to avoid any charge.
Billing & renewal. After the trial ends, your paid subscription begins. Monthly plans are billed in advance each month and renew monthly; annual plans are billed in advance for twelve (12) months at the discounted annual rate and renew yearly. Your subscription automatically renews until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (the end of the month for monthly plans, or the end of the paid year for annual plans), and you retain access until then. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund amounts already paid.
Plan changes. Plans are priced by the number of active (non-archived) projects: Starter includes up to 3 and Growth up to 10. If you need more active projects than your plan includes, an upgrade to the appropriate plan is required; upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. Team members, general contractors, and subcontractors are unlimited on every plan.
No refunds. Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or downgrades. Because a 14-day free trial is provided so you can evaluate the Service before any charge, subscription fees are earned when billed.
Price changes & taxes. We may change plan pricing or features with reasonable advance notice, effective on your next billing period. Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes, for which you are responsible where required.
You retain ownership of the project data, documents, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to upload any document you submit, and for the accuracy of budget, task, and change order data you enter.
The Service includes an optional AI assistant that generates suggestions and can draft documents (such as proposals and invoices) and take actions in your account when you confirm them. Its output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. It is not professional, financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for reviewing everything it produces before you rely on it, send it to a client, or submit it — and for any action you choose to approve. Nothing the assistant creates or sends happens without your explicit confirmation.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to access data you're not authorized to see, uploading malicious files, interfering with the Service's operation, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. LedgerLine does not guarantee the accuracy of any budget, schedule, or other data entered by users, and is not responsible for construction decisions made based on information in the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LedgerLine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, we may delete Your Content after a reasonable retention period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
